About us

Founded and based in London but working across Britain and beyond, Fountain commissions, curates and presents Modern and Contemporary Art. Ranging from artists' moving image, site-specific installations to small-large scale touring exhibitions, Fountain projects are produced with an emphasis on collaboration with international partners, and often take place in unique locations.

Artists

Fountain provides opportunities to established names as well as nurturing the very best young emerging creative talent. It is our preference to commission, premier and to present the best in visuals arts to new audiences, and to allow current practitioners to extend their practice by testing new ideas in public. A selection of projects from our recent and upcoming programme can be found on our Facebook page.

Projects

Curating both for and outside of the gallery context and operating between the public and private, institutional and commercial cultural sectors and communities, Fountain projects encompass the complete life cycle of visual arts production. From project inception to dissemination, exhibition and interpretation, projects include ambitious gallery and public-realm installations to national and international touring exhibitions, festivals, international residences, talks, symposia and accompanying publications.

Productions

Fountain productions encompass a wide spectrum of work and are grounded in professional practice at the highest level. With an enviable track record of negotiating, curating and producing projects working with artists and the moving image, gallery and site-specific installations, new media and cross-disciplinary projects, Fountain brings considerable expertise to each new production.

Partners

Fountain projects often take place outside of the United Kingdom and as such involve close collaboration with international partners. Our growing partnerships and long term collaborations abroad represent our ongoing commitment to joint project development, with a focus on commissioning exploratory and high-risk projects at an international level.

Books & Journals

Fountain publishing programme provides an important accompaniment to its ongoing commissioning activities. An integral part of our mission publications include exhibition catalogues that provide a lasting record of Fountain's diverse programme. Fountain publications are produced in partnership with Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, University of the Arts London.
